Farm to Bar

When the Spice trucks return from the farmers’ markets, it’s all hands on deck. Helping hands unload the burrito stands. Chef hands pull provisions for daily dinner specials. And bar hands seek out inspiration for a few new crafty cocktails. Dave Hridel, Spice Bar Manager, discusses how our love for all things local finds its way into your glass. A Valentine’s Day Cocktail with Missy

“The Shocker”Inspired by citrus season and named for its shocking pink color (that’s right people, get your mind out of the gutter), this romantic winter cocktail blends the classic pairing of gin and grapefruit with complex floral elements to tickle her tastebuds. Show off with some unexpected moves by finishing with a spark of lit grapefruit. Our lovely bartender Missy demonstrates how you can mix to impress.Build in a shaker with ice:-1oz. fresh squeezed grapefruit juice-1oz. Watershed Gin-1/4 oz. house made beet root shrub-3/4 oz.
